All-clear after hazmat situation in North County

BLACK JACK, MO (KTVI)--Several homes had to be evacuated after a hazmat situation in Black Jack Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say a 5 gallon container of some kind of unknown liquid was discovered in a garage located in the 11400 block of Tobaggon. The container of liquid was connected with electrical wires into the house.

St. Louis County hazmat and Bomb & Arson were on the scene.

Crews discovered the material was non hazardous. The neighborhood was given an all-clear to return to their homes.
