FREDERICKTOWN, MO (KTVI) - Police have evacuated several homes in Fredericktown Missouri after a potential bomb threat was made in the city.

Fox 2 understands local police, SWAT, Missouri State Highway Patrol are on the scene in Fredericktown.

A representative of Fredericktown United Methodist Church on Main Street told Fox 2 that the threat is related an area near Head and Lisa.

As precaution, authorities have opened the church as a shelter for residents affected by the police emergency.
