Hundreds of cigarettes stolen in South City supermarket smash-and-grab

SOUTH ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating a smash and grab burglary at a supermarket overnight in south St. Louis.

The incident happened at the Salams Supermarket along Choteau Avenue at Cillion Court.

According to police, the thieves smashed their way into the building and took roughly $16,000 worth of cigarettes.
