Illinois congressman collecting Valentines for Heroes

(KTVI)-Congressman John Shimkus (R-IL) is asking constituents for participation in his “Valentines for Heroes” program.   Valentines will be accepted at Shimkus’ offices until February 7 and will then be distributed to veterans and those currently serving in the military before Valentine’s Day.

Valentines may be dropped off or mailed to:

  • City Hall Room 12, 110 East Locust Street, Harrisburg, IL 62946
  • 101 North Fourth Street, Suite 303, Effingham, IL 62401
  • 201 North Vermilion Street, Suite 218, Danville, IL 61832

Valentines should not be addressed to any specific person and don’t sign them with your last name.  All valentines are reviewed for content before distribution.
