Illinois murder suspect arrested in Missouri

MARSTON, MO (AP) _ A man suspected in a Chicago area case has been arrested in rural southeast Missouri.

KFVS-TV reports that Kevin Malone of Hanove Park, Illinois, was arrested Thursday in the small town of Marston, Missouri. He is charged with first-degree murder in Cook County, Illinois, and faces a drug charge in Missouri.

Malone and a woman arrested with him, Ana Garcia, are being held at the Pemiscot County Jail. Garcia is charged with possession of a controlled substance in New Madrid County, Missouri, and with failure to register a change of address in Cook County.

Details about the Illinois murder case were not immediately available. Detectives working that case determined that Malone might be in Marston, and police spotted his vehicle.
