Illinois State Police urge motorist to slow down during winter weather

LITCHFIELD, IL (KPLR) – Illinois State Police are urging motorist  to slow down and reduce speed on Metro East roads, after Tuesdays winter storm.  While road conditions are getting better, roads still have snow and ice on them, along with high winds and low temperatures is still making travel difficult.

Motorist should use extreme caution on all roads, and especially be careful around emergency vehicles.

If you don’t have to travel, state police are urging motorist to stay at home.
