Highland, Illinois continues cleanup from weekend storms

HIGHLAND, Ill. – Highland, Illinois residents are still cleaning up after the storms which stretched from Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

Those storms and high winds knocked down a tree across 8th Street and Walnut Street. It also took out a utility pole forcing residents to lose their internet service.

Crews will have to install a new utility pole to re-string that line.

Despite the damage, residents told FOX 2 they never lost power.
