Ice on the Illinois River closes the Kampsville Ferry

KAMPSVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois Department of Transportation is closing the Kampsville Ferry at 5:00 pm today because of ice on the Illinois River. The ferry will remain closed until the river clears.

State officials are asking people to use the Joe Page Bridge at Hardin and Brussels Ferry north of Grafton to get to Calhoun County.
