Illinois dedicates nearly $3 million to improving Metro East walking paths


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Land of Lincoln has dedicated nearly $106 million to the improvement of biking and walking paths.

In the St. Louis area, Edwardsville will receive about $820,000 to upgrade the Illinois Route 157 shared-use path.

Mascoutah will get almost one million dollars for the L&N Railway Trail.

Alton will get more than one million dollars for safe routes to school.
