ST. LOUIS – You may notice some changes to overhead message boards during your morning commute.
The Missouri Department of Transportation replaced the electronic signs hoping to make them much easier to read.
According to MoDOT some of the signs were so old the agency couldn’t get replacement parts.
The overhead message boards MoDOT uses are primarily to share travel times and to warn of crashes and congestion ahead. Some of the oldest (2001) boards have gotten a facelift; starting today, they display color shields to better identify the roads: https://t.co/ORMT0W8LW0 pic.twitter.com/YArChVcw6A
