ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Some members of Cardinals Nation like to claim its supporters are the ‘Best Fans in Baseball.’ If that’s true, then the Irish might take the crown for heartiest fans on Earth.

Scores of Irish soccer fans descended upon France for the UEFA Euro 2016, a tournament pitting the continent’s best national squads against one another.

While rallying supporters on the streets of France, an overly eager Republic of Ireland fan climbed atop a car with his drum and dented the roof. Supporters began collecting money for repairs and stuffing the bills in the car door.

A few intrepid fans got the idea that pounding the car roof with their fists might fix the dent. Lo and behold, the fans popped the dent away, all while merrily singing, “Fix the car, for the boys in green.”

Lest you think this is an isolated incident of goodwill from Irish fandom, here’s video of them joining in with rival Swedish supporters singing Abba:

And here’s video of…well, it appears to be a reenactment of a bullfight between an Irish and Swedish fan, but with dancing and jazz musicians:

In this particular video, we have dozens of Irish men—and a few ladies—serenading a Swedish woman with the 1962 Bruce Channel hit ‘Hey! Baby’:

And finally, the Irish fans politely bid their Swedish fan brethren goodbye to the tune of, “Go home to your sexy wives”:
