JERUSALEM (FOX NEWS) – Israel is deploying a missile defense battery to the outskirts of Jerusalem. The Israeli military has not confirmed the deployment — saying it does not comment on the location of the batteries — known as “iron dome”.
This amid U.S. efforts to rally support for a strike on Syria.
Israel fears Damascus may respond by firing missiles at Israel — a close American ally.
The country has sought to distance itself from Syria’s standoff with the west.
But, it’s still preparing for any possibility.
Large crowds are also gathering at gas-mask distribution centers across the country for protection kits.
