But the health care reform law often referred to as “Obama -care” is still the law and it begins in earnest October first. That’s when each state gets an online health care exchange where consumers can comparison shop for health insurance.

Lack of publicity and roadblocks by Missouri lawmakers mean most Missourians have no idea what happens October 1, 2013, or what their options are. One of the nation’s top healthcare policy analysts, Tim McBride, tries to answer some of those questions. He is a professor at the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University.
