Jailer stabbed at St. Louis Justice Center

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Police are investigating after a jailer was stabbed at the St. Louis Justice Center on South Tucker in  downtown St. Louis.

Around 8:30pm Friday, a corrections officer was moving a prisoner when the prisoner stabbed him in the neck using a makeshift “shank”.  He was rushed to the hospital and is listed in serious condition.

An investigation into the stabbing in underway.
