JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (KTVI) - The Missouri Supreme Court handed Jamilia Nasheed a victory Wednesday. The state representative is back on the ballot for the august democratic primary.

Incumbent senator, Robin Wright-Jones had sued to get Nasheed off the ballot for the 5th senatorial district in St. Louis City.  Wright-Jones said Nasheed didn't meet the residency requirement, because she didn't live in the newly redrawn district.

But the Supreme Court ruled Nasheed met the requirement, because she lives in an area that was used to create the new fifth district.
