JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – The high-profile case of Steve Treece ended in a guilty verdict for the murder of his wife. The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney told the Post-Dispatch that Steve Treece was convicted of murder and armed criminal action.
On July 11, 2018, Treece stood over his wife’s body on the front porch of their Cedar Lakes home armed with a gun during a five-hour-long standoff with police. He eventually surrendered.
His sentencing is set for May 19.
