ST. LOUIS – A judge has settled the legal battle over who’s in charge of the St. Louis County Council.
That judge affirmed that Rita Heard Days is the council chair. This puts an end to the nearly two-month-long leadership fight.
County Executive Sam Page’s administration filed suit in January to void a decision by four council members. The lawsuit aimed to remove Councilwoman Lisa Clancy and Councilman Ernie Trakas from the top two leadership positions on the seven-member board.
