ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Crews prepared to close westbound lanes on Interstate 64 in Downtown St. Louis Tuesday night.
The Missouri Department of Transportation scaled back work on a double-deck section of the highway while the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals were in the playoffs. The day after the Redbirds run for a 2012 World Series Championship ended, construction ramped back up.
Mo-DOT announced all westbound lanes on I-64 would close at 7:30 Tuesday night. Drivers would also lose the 6th and 9th Street ramps. Mercifully, crews planned to have all lanes and ramps opened by 5 Wednesday morning.
Mo-DOT offered westbound Interstate 44 to Jefferson as a detour around the construction.
