ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The law enforcement torch run for the Missouri Special Olympics hit the road this morning.  Officers from St. Louis County and other agencies will be carrying the torch today in a relay to Springfield, Missouri. The torch run began at 8am at Ameristar Casino.

More than 2,200 athletes from around the state are gearing up for the summer games in Springfield starting this Friday.  They'll compete in powerlifting, volleyball, track and field and water sports.
