Lightning Strikes Apartment Building In South County

LEMAY MISSOURI ( KTVI) -Some South County residents  are safe after a lightning bolt struck an apartment building  in Lemay. Residents had to be evacuated as crews battled  the blaze.

The apartment is located in the 3700 block of Swiss Drive. Witness say the bolt of lighting struck  the apartment’s roof around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night.There are no injuries to report.

The Red Cross is assisting in finding people a place to stay .
