Lincoln County man charged with sexual abuse of stepdaughter

FARMINGTON, MO. (KTVI) – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office investigators have charged 36-year-old James Joseph Campbell of Farmington, Missouri with 11 counts of statutory sodomy and 3 counts of statutory rape of his stepdaughter.

Investigators were tipped off by a caller that Campbell had been molesting his stepdaughter over a 10 year period.  According to authorities, Campbell started sexually abusing his stepdaughter at the age of 5-years-old, lasting till she was age 15.

The abuse took place in two locations in Lincoln County, the 100 block o Lisa Lane and in the 600 block of Aspen Drive, both in Old Monroe.

In a probable cause statement, Campbell would sometimes sign his stepdaughter out of school to have sex with her.

Campbell is currently incarcerated at the Farmington Department of Corrections facility from pleading guilty to sexual abuse of a child in Lincoln County several years ago.
