FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Demonstrators fail to block a major highway during rush hour in St. Louis on Wednesday afternoon. They are seeking justice for the police shooting death of Michael Brown.

Police stopped the protester’s efforts to shut down I-70 They formed a line and met activists on Hanley road. Traffic was blocked on Hanley road while police met with activists. There have been over a dozen arrests at this point.

Organizers of the protest have told demonstrators to move to Ferguson City Hall. They planned to shut down I-70 at Hanley road at 4:30pm.

Brown was shot to death by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on August 9th. A Grand Jury is currently considering charges.  St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch is presenting the case. The goal of the I-70 shut down is to get a special prosecutor appointed to take over the case.
