ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Students are heading back to school just as we hit asthma and allergy season. But help is on the way.
The St. Louis Asthma and Allergy Foundation was instrumental in getting a new Missouri law passed that allows all school nurses and trained professionals to stock albuterol.
The drug is for any child who has an asthma attack whether or not they’ve been diagnosed.
A St. Louis County pharmacist has donated the medication to every school in St. Louis city and county.
The donation means all city and county schools will have a supply to use.
