ST. LOUIS – The Loop Trolley company is asking for more government money in hopes of restarting the line once the pandemic fades.

The Post-Dispatch reported that trolley officials submitted a request for a $1.26 million grant from the East-West Gateway Council of Governments.

The money would be in addition to the $51 million already spent on building the 2.2-mile line connecting the western end of the Delmar Loop in University City to Forest Park.
