St. Louis, MO (KTVI)--Construction for the Loop Trolley system is set to begin in March 2015. The Loop Trolley will be 2.2 miles long making a permanent roundabout from Delmar Blvd. and DeBalivere Ave.

Administrator of the Loop Trolley Transportation Development District Chris Poehler anticipates the construction of the track to begin late May 2015 on Delmar Blvd. near Kingsland. The Loop Trolley construction will be in service late 2016.

The Loop Trolley will make ten stops including The Loop restaurant, shops, arts and entertainment district, Forest Park and the Missouri History Museum. The TDD hopes the Loop Trolley will improve safety, traffic flow and increase tourism in St. Louis.
