ALTON, IL (KTVI) – Residents who live at the Mather Street Apartment complex in Alton, Illinois are frustrated because the U.S. Postal Service stopped delivering their mail. The service came to a halt more than a week ago after a tenant allegedly threatened a mail carrier and used racial slurs. A spokesperson for the postal service says the safety of their works is top priority and steps are being take with the apartment manager to resolve the situation. Meantime, residents are asked to pick up their mail at the Post Office in the 700 block of Bell Street.
