Man charged with murder following club shooting

(KTVI) – Police have charged a man for allegedly beating a man who shot his brother in a north St. Louis bar.

Ferguson police say Edward Mueller fired shots inside Pirate’s Cove bar Friday night on Howdershell Road in Florissant, Missouri.

Douglas M. Layman is the brother of one of the shooting. Police say after Mueller fired the gun, Layman attacked him. Mueller later died of “blunt trauma” to the abdomen.

Layman is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and is jailed on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
