ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- A person has died after being struck by a car in the Lasalle Park neighborhood of south St. Louis. A driver, identified as a 24-year-old man, told St. Louis police that he was driving south on Tucker, approaching Park, when he felt his vehicle run over something in the roadway. He pulled over and realized he had struck a pedestrian.

The driver flagged down a passing ambulance and the injured pedestrian, identified as Craig Cohen, 50, of north St. Louis, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver was booked on unrelated warrants. The investigation in the death of Cohen is ongoing.
