Man in custody for armed robbery in Fairview Heights

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL. (KTVI) – A 24-year-old East St. Louis man is in custody at the Fairview Heights Police Department for an armed robbery at a real estate office on Friday morning. Police received a call about the incident around 10:30 a.m. The victim reported that a man with a handgun robbed her while she was inside Wooff Realtors, located at 833 Lincoln Highway.

The victim was able to describe the suspect and his vehicle to police. An officer spotted the vehicle, an older Blue Chevrolet Blazer, in the 10900 block of Lincoln Trail. He and other officers took the suspect into custody.

Someone else was in the car with the suspect when police took him into custody. That person is also in custody and is being questioned by police about their involvement if any.
