Man opens fire in East St. Louis Monday morning

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – A man has been arrested after he allegedly opened fire in East St. Louis early Monday morning.

Police received a call regarding the incident shortly before 1:00 a.m.

Witnesses said a man was firing shots along Martin Luther King Drive and North 6th Street.

Police said the man then fled to a nearby gas station. That is where police were able to arrest him. Officers told FOX 2 that they found the gun.
