Man shot, killed outside of convenience store in downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Gunfire killed one man at a 7-Eleven in downtown St. Louis Sunday night. The gunman is still on the loose.

According to police, the shooting occured around 6p.m. at the convenience store located in the 200 block of North 17th Street. Witnesses reported seeing the 27-year-old victim talking with the suspect outside of the store. At that point, the conversation took a deadly turn when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital. He did not survive.

The store is currently opened for business.

There have been 124 murders the city of St. Louis this year. There was a total of 120 in 2013.
