ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Police are looking for a killer after a man was shot to death overnight outside a neighborhood market in North St. Louis.  Detectives are still trying to piece together all of the facts.

Investigators say the victim was shot multiple times. He died at a local hospital. Police crime scene vans were at the scene on West Florissant and Thrush in North St. Louis. The shooting happened around 11:50 p.m. outside the Northway Market on an adjacent lot.

Police say someone just walked up and shot the man and then took off.  A worker from the store, which was open during the shooting, heard the shots and called police. At this point, investigators are saying that the victim is a black male in his late 20s.

His name has not yet been released. Police say they have no suspect information. They also don't have a motive for the attack although investigators say they do not think it was a robbery.

The victim was not a store employee.
