JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KTVI) - Deputies with the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office have arrested a man they said is connected to the shooting death of a 19-year-old man.

The arrest was made Saturday night at a mobile home in the 4700 block of Tina Drive off of Highway MM.

The shooting happened earlier that afternoon shortly after 2:30 pm off of Redbud Springs.

When deputies arrived, they found a man shot outside of the mobile home.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

As deputies investigated the scene, the sheriff's emergency response team surrounded a mobile home on Tina Drive where they believed the suspect resided.

After hours of trying to make contact, the team deployed two diversionary devices about half hour apart but they were unsuccessful in establishing any communication.

Authorities then brought a K-9 to the door before the suspect voluntarily surrendered.

According to Lieutenant Gary Higginbotham, there were three other people in the home who were also arrested.

Higginbotham said the victim and the suspect did not know one another but that they had common acquaintances.

No information in the suspect's or the victim's identity was immediately released.

Charges are pending as the case remains under investigation.
