FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – We are now more than a week into this Crisis in Ferguson and many people have asked to see a map of the region impacted to give this crisis some perspective.

The first point of interest is the police command center – located at the southeast corner of West Florissant and Lucas and Hunt roads in a large shopping center there.

The Ferguson Market, where Michael Brown is accused of stealing cigarettes is several blocks further north at the northwest corner of West Florissant and Ferguson Avenue.

After leaving the Ferguson Market its believe Michael Brown moved northeast a short distance to Canfield Drive and the Canfield Place Apartments. That’s where he encountered the officer and the shooting occurred.

The QuickTrip which burned down in the first night of rioting is located a short distance back to the west at the corner of Canfield Drive and West Florissant.

The overall area affected by the unrest is just a very small portion of North County – limited to just a couple of miles north and south along and a few blocks either side of West Florissant Avenue between 270 and Lucas and Hunt.
