Mayor Tishaura Jones goes directly to residents to help decide how millions in funding will be spent

ST. LOUIS – New St. Louis city Mayor Tishaura Jones is going directly to the people to find out how millions of dollars in federal funding will be spent.

Jones met with constituents in north St. Louis Saturday morning.

The issue: How the 500 million dollars allotted to the city as part of the “American Rescue Plan.”

City Hall says Jones wanted to meet with residents after seeing a wide disparity in opinions about where the money should go.
