PONTOON BEACH, IL (KTVI) – The Madison County Coroner’s Office is conducting toxicology tests to determine what killed two men found dead in a Pontoon Beach motel room Monday morning.

The bodies were discovered in a third floor room of the Super8 Motel in the 4100 block of Timberlake Drive just after 6:40 a.m.

The men were identified as 31-year-old Duane Logsdon of Effingham, Illinois and 30-year-old David Davis of Olney, Illinois. Both were pronounced dead shortly after 8:20 a.m.

Autopsies were inconclusive, though the coroner said no overt signs of foul play could be found.
