ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – In St. Louis City, MoDOT is closing the two lanes on eastbound and westbound I-64 at Jefferson on Saturday from 5 a.m. to noon. One-lane closures remain in this area of I-64 in either direction between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The ramp from Jefferson to westbound I-64 is open.

As part of the new Mississippi River Bridge, MoDOT closes up to two lanes on westbound I-70 between Biddle and Branch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on weekdays. These same lane closures will occur Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 8 p.m., Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.

MoDOT has begun night work on Route 109 between I-44 and Route 100 this week. Crews are closing one lane in each direction between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., each night on weekdays while performing paving work near the Route 100 intersection. Motorists can expect long delays and are urged to avoid this section of Route 109 during these nighttime hours if possible. Motorists should use alternate routes.

Starting this week, traffic will be escorted through this work zone by following a pilot car during the one-lane closures. The pilot car is a construction vehicle with emergency lights and a sign identifying it used to guide motorists safely through a narrow work zone. Motorists should pay attention to the pilot car, flagging operations and work zone signs.
