ST. LOUIS – Metro Transit gets more federal money to expand its electric bus program.

Eighteen battery-operated buses joined the fleet in June of last year. Now, Metro is receiving a $5.4 million federal grant for more battery-powered buses.

The money will also go for a new charging station at the Debaliviere  Metrobus Station. The new battery buses will replace diesel buses to help cut down on carbon emissions.
