BRANSON, Mo. (AP) _ Authorities have identified a body found near the side of the Table Rock Lake dam as that of a missing man.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that the Taney County Coroner confirmed the identity of the man Monday as 42-year- old Craig Wayne Willhite. He was reported missing on May 29 and had injuries consistent with a fall when he was found in a grassy area, at the base of a steep hill next to the dam.

Branson spokeswoman Melody Pettit says authorities don’t believe foul play was involved and that it appears as if he may have fallen over the rail. She says it’s unsure how long the body had been there, but could have been several days or longer.
