Update: The West Allis police department has found Cassandra Lafave in Wisconsin on Tuesday at around 5pm. According to a release from the department, "LaFave was located unharmed. This is currently an ongoing / active investigation. Detectives of the West Allis Police Department continue to investigate the complete circumstances surrounding this incident."

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- A Facebook page with more than 2,500 likes shows how family and friends are holding out hope for the safe return of 25-year-old Wisconsin native Cassandra Lafave.

According to family members, it's believed that she's fallen victim to human trafficking.  Lafave was reported missing on November 20th and is thought to be in the St. Louis or Kansas City area. We're also told she's dealing with a drug addiction and was homeless at the time of her disappearance. Her mother contacted FOX 2 by phone and said she wants her daughter and the other women involved rescued as soon as possible.

Trafficking victim Cathy Summers says once women are taken in the experience puts them on a mental lockdown.

"The bars that are on your windows are totally mental and emotional. It`s a source of power, they scare youand they convince you that they`re all powerful and that`s what it is a game of control," Summers said.

Summers was trafficked at five-years- old when her mother couldn't support her family. She understands how hard it can be to get away from those who want control.  Family members rescued her after two years of abuse.

"Once she turned to prostitution her pimp basically owned all of us he did what he wanted with us, it included childhood prostitution, child pornography and drugs," Summers said.

At this point West Allis police in Wisconsin are leading the investigation and are working with multiple agencies to crack the case.  Lafave is 5 foot 9' and 150lbs with naturally brownish  blond hair that could have recently been dyed red. She also has a tattoo of a star on her left ear and music note on her neck. Summers is hoping her message of survival will encourage others to get the help needed to move on.

"You can recover to wellness, hope, health, love and peace all of those things are possible," she said.
