The Champ Clark Bridge carries U.S. 54 traffic from Illinois into Missouri at Louisiana, Missouri, about 90 miles north of St. Louis. The bridge work originally scheduled for last week was delayed due to rainy weather. The bridge closed Monday morning.

Drivers are being detoured to Hannibal, Missouri, 30 miles to the north, or south to the St. Louis area.
