WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTVI) – Missouri Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-3rd District) has drawn national attention after suggesting people “neuter” U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for her positions on Wall Street reform.
According to Politico, the comments came Wednesday while Luetkemeyer sat on panel discussion at the American Bankers Association conference.
Luetkemeyer, who sits on the House Committee on Financial Services, referred to Sen. Warren (D-Massachusetts) as the “Darth Vader of the financial services world.”
In a story appearing on The Huffington Post, Warren emailed her supporters to say she wouldn’t be neutered and accused Luetkemeyer of supporting special interest groups in the financial sector.
