ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency Sunday during the height of the storm. he’ll visit the National Weather Service office in Weldon Spring to get an update on river level predictions. The governor will also check on flooding preparedness in Perry County.

At a press conference Monday afternoon, the Governor said he knows this weather event is not over just yet, but that officials will see the response through to the end.
