(KTVI) – Soon you may be paying more for municipal court fees, for ordinance violations.  If you’re convicted of an ordinance violation such has playing music to loud or get a speeding ticket, a extra $3 fee could be tacked onto your fine.

The fee is part of a new Missouri law designed to help replenish the pension fund for Missouri sheriffs and their spouses, affecting roughly 150 people.

The state has told judges to start collecting the fee, as of this July.
