LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (AP) _ School administrators in the Kansas City, Missouri, suburb of Lee’s Summit say they helped investigate an elementary student’s alleged threats to some schoolmates and staff members.
The Kansas City Star reports that the school district reported in an email to parents Wednesday that the case involved the unnamed student’s alleged “hit list.”
The district says that list surfaced Tuesday and contained “a limited number” of students and school employees at Richardson Elementary School.
A Lee’s Summit police school resource officer joined the investigation.
The district says the situation doesn’t pose a threat, and that no one else is believed to be involved.
The district’s advisory to parents doesn’t detail any discipline imposed but notes the student in question “is not in school at this time.”
