ST. LOUIS – Missouri Governor Mike Parson plans to speak with advanced practice registered nurses Wednesday.
They’re pushing for two bills to pass in the legislature. Both would remove restrictions on ARPN’s ability to practice independently.
That would make $14,000 more healthcare workers available to Missouri hospitals. Many ARPN’s have left Missouri to states that have full practice authority – such as Illinois, Kansas, and Iowa.
