WENTZVILLE, Mo. — Eastbound I-70 in Wentzville is closed at Highway A. A MoDOT traffic camera shows a crash involving multiple cars. EMS crews are on the scene and the road has been closed for hours.

The road closed at around 10 a.m. Wednesday. Traffic is backing up from the scene of the crash. Avoid this area if you can. Take I-64/40 eastbound as an alternate route.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that the crash is classified as involving a serious injury.  They say area hospitals have not reported any deaths related to this collision.
