Driver shortages mean new Metro routes in St. Louis starting Monday

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Due to ongoing labor shortages across the St. Louis region Metro Transit is adjusting its route schedule starting tomorrow. Because of driver shortages, there will be fewer bus routes running throughout the city, county, and Illinois.

The agency says their number of operators is down about 14-percent. It’s been canceling trips unexpectedly as a result.
