ST. LOUIS — A woman died after a fatal rollover crash on I-55 early Monday morning. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police say that the woman was traveling with the 24-year-old man in a 1999 Chevy Camero at around 2 a.m. They were speeding on I-55 near the Truman Parkway exit when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The car crashed into a guardrail and the exit sign as it overturned. The driver and the passenger were ejected.

First responders were called to the scene. They took the driver to the hospital for treatment. The woman was pronounced dead at at the scene. Police have not yet released her identity.

The crash is still under investigation.
