ST. LOUIS – The news of returning mask mandates has restaurant owners on edge as many entrepreneurs fear this will lead to another devastating fall and winter shutdown.

After speaking with several restaurant owners the night before the mask mandate returns, the one word that comes to mind is “conflicted.” Owners want to keep their staff and customers safe, but they feel like they are moving backward just when many businesses were finally getting back on their feet.
